Yeah I know just goes to show how bright the running lights are

I'm sure you could prob switch off the running lights via coding
But apart from what you said above there is no real point to turning them off just for working at night

Your just have to put a blanket over the headlights he he

I think you can. Pretty sure there's coding or an app you can do in OBD to bring up a DRL menu.

Yup. It's in the coding thread. Take a look there.

I think it gives you an MMI menu option to turn them off

Never seen an option to turn running lights off just to turn delay off for headlights as you switch the engine off

just looked in manual also just says about entry exit adjusting and time delay nothing about running lights

so running lights must only by ajusting via coding as per above?

would be good if you can turn them off via mmi though

    thanks guys

Had a look this morning and appears I'd already enabled it via the OBD App. I can confirm when you turn off DRL in the MMI menu, front and rear lights are completely off with engine running.

Also noticed you can enable by using the long coding menu option under module 9 in OBD so almost as simple as using an app (and free!).

After coding this setting you will get a menu option extra in MMI where you can actually turn off or on the DRL.

That exactly I was asking/looking for. Have a menu in the MMI would be nice. Thanks!
