Can anyone offer any advice on the following from my VCDS scan. I wasn't even aware I had an Auxiliary Heater in my car. Maybe this is why the code is being thrown out?

Thanks for your reply. Where would the fuse be? Is it in the panel to the right of the dash once the door has been opened? When you say can you access 7D or 18 by VCDS can you just expand on what you mean? Thank you

Error shows no signal to control module, if you choose component 7d or 18 ( which is aux heat) , is VCDS letting you connect to this component? If you are able to connect, you can check then measuring blocks for aux heating

I see. Controll module 18 is Aux Heat and no I cannot connect to it. I don't seem to have a 7D. The same fault also appears in the CAN gateway module 19. Is this fault code anything I need to worry about

Yeah 18 is more common component in audi /vw cars. Aux heat it is electric heater inside our cabin connected to heating system. When temperature outside is low, and you will set high temperature on climatronic then aux heater starts working to warm up cabin faster while engine is still cold. It is up to you, how important this feature is.

In your case I would look first for fuse otherwise it might be faulty module
