I'm in the process of buying a second hand SQ7. Is there any common issues or problems I should be watching for?

I'm coming from a combo of XC90 R-Design and BMW M2, trying to get the Sports and Utility into one Vehicle!

Rubber on tyres seems to evaporate and expect Mid 20’s MPG with spirited driving . Enjoy. Other than that mine has been faultless in the last 21 months.

Good to hear there's little obvious issues. Thought there might be some more owners here though.

No issues with mine, 2 1/2 years in. Bit thirsty on tyres, as mentioned above.

No massive surprise really it's a big heavy vehicle after all. I've always been amazed when I read about folks getting 20k or more out of a set of tyres. Don't think I've ever managed that in any car!

Well, I'm on 13000 miles and still showing 2-3 mm left on thread.
    It didn't happen automatically though.
I've had a 4L version (that used to do 10k max) then had an S-line 4M (which did similarly, 12k) but I've always used an Auto driving mode on both. The trick was to set up an Individual mode so that you're driving on lowest suspension setting available (dynamic) and the rest to auto or eco (as you please). That way the tyres' plane of contact with tarmac is most parallel hence it wears evenly on it's full width.
Also, another important thing I've found is a tyre swap (front-back) at roughly 10k miles is a must since the car's power is 60/40 split between axles.
Otherwise, car is 15 months old and I haven't had a single issue yet.

    😂 - no doubt!

I see the new model has just been announced. Can't say I like all the new touch screens, it's a large part of the reason I'm moving away from the Volvo. I just find touch screens are so distracting / difficult to use when you're on the move. You've always got to look down to use them and be accurate enough to hit the right bit of the screen.
