Finally thought about this and looked today...I get the pop up but no ping when on the phone on the MMI screen

Hi, did anyone figure out how to change the distance before the notification? I think the default is 100 yards.

Well, now that may answers one of my question: the other day, one of my friends called when I was driving back home and since then I was wondering if it actually pinged for two of the known camera in our area. I think I'm sure now it didn't.

Another strange one to go with my no ping when on the phone is

if you pass the same camera twice it don't ping the second time ie

when I go to a friends to pick them up they live about a mile past a speed camera so pick him up turn around and head back with out switching engine off
when I then pass the same camera going the other way it don't ping and not even sure it shows a warning

so another one for you to try Nemo now you tried the phone one lol

and it's not just happen with that camera I first noticed this when I first installed the camera warning over a year ago as went out for drive to try it and and couldnt work out why it didn't ping on way back
the only way it will ping on way back is if you pass another camera first then head back

I guess there’s some logic there after all we’re piggybacking the special point of interest feature. Within a short distance, it probably thinks you’re still there.

Yes mate was thinking on them lines that I wouldn't ping twice or thinking it's already warned
but same time you could go hundreds of miles and come back and as long as you don't pass another camera it still wouldn't warn you
although it's not going to happen but a short trip could and then catch you out if you get used to listen for the ping and relie on it

I will try and test as I’ve got a camera nearby and never noticed. I also have the speedcam warning on the dashcam so that always pipes up so possible just never noticed.

Not perfect but between the two it generally has me covered

good job to as they getting very hot on things

spec as I had to attend a speed awareness course today tut tut lol

was caught by a mobile hand held camera and they was standing on side of the road
no police ahead stopping any one and never knew the hand help jobs recorded the reg number? So thought as a line of cars all over the limit I got away with it hmmmm (how wrong was I)

well at least they never used to a year or so ago

but I was in a line of about 7 cars inc a van in front and no one slowed down and I had no chance of seeing or warning
norm camera vans and handhelds if you can't see you think the car in front would slow but hey ho least no points

this was 7pm on a bank holiday Monday also hmmmm so your never safe
