REP POWER!! Here is a quick overview!!

Reputation Power..... as indicated by the green markers!!

Under everyones Avatar you will see one of these icons (theme dependant) , or

Clicking on this icon takes you to the Reputation screen where you can elect to give good or bad feedback.

If you feel someone has helped you then you'd click on the rep icon, click I approve and then select how many points to give the user. The number of points depends on how many you have yourself. If you have 1,000 rep points you may give anything from 1 to 1,000. You should then leave a few lines of feedback and click on Add to reputation

The other side of the coin is negative feedback. As above except, click I disapprove, select how many points to take off the user's current total. It would be appreciated if you could again leave feedback to help the user to see why they have been punished.

ONE WORD OF ADVICE, If you are going to give someone "I disapprove", I would recommend you speak to them via a PM or on the thread before you do so... it could just be a simple typo!!!

All this does is helps members trust the information they are provided with based on a score.... (just think of Ebay, more sales the better!!)

    Hope this clears it up

    Cheers
