    Hi all,

I recently purchased an 08 plate golf, drove it at low speed and everything felt fine. now i'm driving it normally i have a vibration, and it gets worse when i brake.

I've had the wheels off and had a look at the discs, no excessive scoring - what should i be looking for?

Should i try and easy the pistons in the calipers?
Are the rear disks the same fitting as the fronts? - trying to rule out warped disks.

    Are they linked brakes?

    Thanks in advance

Apparently there is no such thing as warped discs it's uneven pad deposits .

braking hard going through big puddles was seen as warping discs, for all the price of discs, change them first

and while you are doing that, may as well do the pads.

I've checked Euro car parts for prices, should i be looking for a particular set of disks and pads?

brake pads have to be a certain spec nowadays

unless your boy racing, just go for a known brand, or google for advice

I tend to stick on the same make of disc to pad
