pd130 driving a little flat after decat

    Hi guys

Before you read I had a symptom before decat, car was super hesitant before and after not so much but still quite hesitant.

I've recently had a decat fitted to my pd130 a6 c5 Avant that had a remap on it and now drives a little flat especially in 1st gear but in 3rd and 4th pulls further. I then switched from a piperX panel to a cone filter and the 1st gear pulled a little stronger but still did feel flats. All this said the car does rev a lot more freely just doesn't feel like any decat I've had before but never owning a tdi before is this normal post remap?

    Thanks

    Mick

Turbo spool should be earlier with a few more mpg .

Yeah that's what I thought, now the mpg is about the same tbh and I think it spools up better and earlier but it just drives flats, one thing struck me as odd though my boos gauge reads full boost when I plant my foot in neutral and the car just doesn't downshift to power at all it seems to make the noise but the power is just lacking especially after 70mph. Is there a way to test if the vent blades are stuck at all?

    Thanks

    Mick

Sticking vnt turbo vanes will give you overboost limp mode which is a dramatic loss of power along with an eml .

Hmm so I wonder what's causing the hesitation then. On a plus I've just took it out after fitting the FMIC and the air temps have dropped dramatically, off boost just normal driving around 20°c and on boost only went up to 32°c I know car needs to get warmer but even so compared to before that's a 30°c drop over the crappy SMIC.
