Hi all. I hope someone can help me. I had to change the battery on my 2003, and when I did, I found that the battery compartment was about one thirds full of water. Never seen anything like it. Is there a drain hole for that area, and if so, where is it? Thanks.

One under battery so you'll have to remove the battery tray and the other underneath the brake servo .

You only have to move or remove the battery.Stupid places to locate them and lots remove the bungs to stop it happening again. You might be able to get to them with a long bottle brush but thats fiddly and best to get the battery out and give the area a good clean

Yes you do, they are one way valves that prevent the depression generated in the plenum chamber from drawing fumes into the heater intake, with a petrol engine and a pre cat exhaust leak this could easily lead to carbon monoxide poisoning. The valves are part number 8D0 819 419 A and are £5.28 each.
