Cruise Control fitted by Audi

Has anyone had a retrofit cruise control fitted by Audi?

If so how did it go?

I have been quoted £250 (€317.31) to supply and fit Cruise Control by an Audi independent.

Audi quoted £350(€444.23) supply and fitted.
I will let you know after the independent fits it.

Yep, they said it would take about a day and they actually did it in 4-5 hours.

So what they basically do:

• Remove the steering wheel
• Remove the levers (for your wipers, turn indicators, ..), it's all fitted on 1 mainpart
• Replace the stock levers part with the new levers part which has a Cruice Control lever
• Enable the new hardware in the ECU

and of course reassemble.

Now, the cover going over your levers and over the bottom area of your steering wheel needs to be changed too, since the Cruice Control needs an extra hole in the cover.
My dealer ordered such cover, but Audi seemed to have delivered the same cover (without the matching hole for the Cruice Control lever).
My dealer has ordered a new one, but in meantime he made a custom hole so I could get going.

I have a 2015 Audi A3 1.2TFSI 110PK 6M.

All 8V's are equipped with drive-by-wire, so the installation should be the same in all of the 8V's. The only thing that is different, is the module with the levers and the cover under your steering wheel.
