Newbie looking to buy 2011 VW CC GT TDI DSG Bluemotion (170)

Hello all, I'm new here and looking for some advice. I currently drive a BMW 118d and have found space in the car to be very limited hence looking at a VW CC. The one I have seen has 55k on the clock and has a full VW service history. Firstly with it being an auto DSG gearbox, I assume the DSG should be serviced at 40k intervals or 4 years. I have had a thorough look at the service book and unfortunately the DSG section was not ticked on the 40k service. How big of an issue is this? With it being main dealer serviced every time, should it not have been done as recommended? Secondly I was advised that the 5th year service (July 2016) will need a cambelt change. The dealer however is not willing to include this in the price and I honestly don't want to have to fork out 3/400 in july. My question is if both aspects are not covered, do I walk away? I have test driven the car and it runs beautifully, please bare in mind the car is being sold by a VW dealership.

Hi Avim, if its been sold by the VW dealership, then I would imagsine its been serviced by VW aswell. Are they not able to tell you what was done in the service? Electronically I mean, rather than the book?
