    Hi

I've a history of retrofitting to many of my previous Audi's and can read a wiring diagram quite happily and have full VCDS.

I've a 2011 3.0tdi Quattro Avant with mechanical S-line,heated fronts and unheated rears and am looking at retrofitting electric/memory fronts and heated rears to the car.

    Anybody looked at this properly?

I can get the seats and the rear looms easily enough, the front seat controllers come with the seats, the only issues I can see are the wiring for the fronts, component protection and switches for the rear (the standard set up comes with 4 zone climate which I don't have and the heated seat switches are incorporated into the control panel for this at the rear of the console)

    Thanks!

Fitting full electric seats on the front is quite easy and very doable. Add the memory function and you will need some extra wires. Can wires to the can connector on the A post and an extra wire from the seats to the inside of the front door panel to the memory button. There is additional wiring inside the door panel from the switch to the door module.
The rears are much more complex.... if you want to heat the rear seats then wiring is easy enough but you need the rear controller which is directly controlled by the front. Adding the rear panel means changing the front panel and for full functionality also means changing the heater box behind the dash. 2 Zone and 4 zone have very different heater boxes and changing that unit is a dash out, air con de-gas etc A major pita job.
Oh and dont forget the CP

    Thanks for that.

The big win for me on this would have been the rears as it helps keep the whinging sprogs quiet, I think I'll pass on this

Don't want to post new topic, and I found this. I've got manual seats with heating and electric lumbar. I've found full electric sport seats with memory. I don't need memory, only want to electric regulation works.
If I will change seats it will works ? Or I need to put new wires ? Like I said before I don't need memory.

yes they will work. Change the fuse for the lumbar support power as it will blow to the next amp up. Or oem way is to add new power cable with a thermal fuse

Thanks morski for Your reply. So it doesn't matter if seats are with memory or not if I wants only full electric regulation without memory. It's different if I won't add new power cable (only change fuse) ? I'm asking because I want change alone and don't want any problem when I will fit them

I dont have a manual on how to retrofit comfort seats as ive not done them, You will need wiring diagrams as there some extra wires to run to the CAN, LINBUS. Coding will be needed to enable the mmi display and after all that until CP is removed then it wont work .
Search on audizine.com under the c7 forum and there is someone who did the retrofit there.

Sorry for the thread resurrection, but this one has been a useful guide for me fitting a LHD passenger (less wear!) S-Line heated fully electric (no lights) seat in place of my RHD S-Line electric lumbar only, heated, illumination driver's seat.

All works perfectly with the seat, until it hits the stop at either end of the forward/backward movement, when it blows the 10A fuse. When I replace the fuse the seat works perfectly again, until it hits the stop and then it blows the fuse again.

    Can anyone sugeest a solution?

I'm wary of just putting in a higher amp fuse as I certainly don't want to burn out any wires!

    Thanks!
