Is the 10A fuse the original one that was in there when you had power lumbar only? If so then up the fuse to a 15A one as the seat is drawing a little bit more current at the end stops as it trying that 'bit'harder. You wont burn the wiring unless you are moving seats non stop for hours

Thanks for the quick response - yes, the original fuse was 10A and is specified as such per the owner's manual. I'll up it to 15A and report back.

Hmm, well a few weeks in now and the 15A fuse blows intermittently. Not always at the end of the motor's range, not really consistent on when it does it.

Am I safe to go up to 20A fuse, or is that risking burning out the wiring?

Should I just stick with 15A, bulk buy them and just keep replacing it every week or so?

    Hi Morski/youngsyr,

I'm upgrading my seats too, but can only find the fuse for the driver side lumbar support in my manual.
Did you have to change the fuse on the passenger side too?

    Many thanks!

iirc both the passenger side and drivers side lumbar fuse is on the drivers side fuse panel. Its been a good while since i did this retrofit... I'd have to look into the manual more later if you still cant find it

I've just retrofitted a fully electric adjustment heated seat in place of my manual adjustment (electric lumbar) heated seat and initially it worked perfectly.

However, my wife took the car and reported back that the seat didn't work from the first moment she tried it. I've checked the fuse (position C10, red fuse box on door side of the dashboard) and it's a 5A, and it hasn't blown. The lumbar adjustment also still works, but not the height and tilt buttons.

This has me stumped as I expected it to be the blown 5A fuse?

Are there any other fuses I need to check - strange that the lumbar support works but not the rest of the adjustment.

I fitted the seats this afternoon and played around with all the adjustments and heating - all worked perfectly?

OK, so currently the seat is stuck in the car, covering the rear two mounting bolts so I can't get the seat out, which is my first priority. I can worry about getting it to work later. I need an adjustable seat as the car is shared.

I've managed to get access to the seat adjustment switch wiring and a wiring diagram.

I'm hoping I can just apply 12v to the Green/Blue wire (height adjustment) and it will raise the seat - giving me access to the rear bolts under the seat to remove the seat.

Can anyone more auto-electrically minded please tell me if this will work?
