    Hi all,
I'm planning on installing heated seats to my Audi A6 4G C7 2011. Big thanks for the info.
Can you give me more information on how all this went? I'm afraid about the seats mostly. I don't want to screw them up somehow. I know is not DIY job and I won't be doing it, but I want to know that they will look and feel the same as before.

My other concern is choosing the right climate control. My current part number is 4G0820043J. But the climate control that has the heating seat button is the same, but ending with either K, AE, CD or BL.
Can you point me out which one to choose? I guess these letters are tied to specific functions of the panel..but they all look the same and have same buttons (including the heating seat button, but excluding the seat ventilation).

    Any update is welcome.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I'll reply as the original thread creator but others will most likely have a better view.

In my case, I ended up selling the car and buying an A7 which had heated seats already so I can't really help on what part numbers etc were required.
What I can say is I had tried a number of places and almost went for Hazzydays but the one thing that ended up being the dealbreaker was the seats. There was a likelyhook the seats would just not feel the same again once the leather was off and put back on. That tied to the fact there was warranty on that car remaining and also the old A6 needing both seats replaced under warranty due to sagging basically answered my question.

If I kept the car, I would have replaced the seats altogether with ones already with factory pads installed - something I could have picked up at the scrappy for instance especially a couple of years into the life of the FL.

    Hope this helps!

Also I assume the control panel if bought second hand/scrappy will have some sort of component protection so you'll have to bear that in mind too

I've retrofitted heated seats before and replaced a heating element on my old A6. Stripping the seats is not that hard just takes a little time & effort (get the instruction of erwin). Also with the car being 2011 I would also be looking to change the seat foam padding while your at it, they are not going to add much to the cost but will also make the seat like feel like new again and get rid of any sagging on the bolster. The element has a self adhesive backing so once it's stuck onto the seat foam it's never coming off with out replacing the element & foam.

The seats will go back together and look no different from the factory, and will look even better if the foam is replaced.

What about the wiring? I ordered a kufatec cable but I'm not sure where should I connect it. Some people say there is a BCM module behind the dash and the kufatec cable connects from there, to the seats (and ground and fuse too).
As I know my BCM2 module is in the trunk, I wonder is this another module behind the dash that I have to look for?
Do I need to add new pins to existing cable on that module, or just replace the kufatec cable?

Any info is welcome here as I'm confused.
    Thanks
