Hypocritical moi? I've recently used some "Titan" valve caps from my old RS6plus to better suit my anthracite wheels.

Did you REALLY have to post that? I will now need to explore my valve caps with a torch this evening, examine my wheel weights with a Dulux colour chart and ensure that the colour of the soot on my exhaust tips matches the brake dust on my alloys. And then have a word with my dealer about their laissez-faire approach to design.

    Chacun a son gout!

I never wash my exhaust tips in the hope that the soot will slowly extend to cover all the chrome on the car. Pas de chance.

Cars are not ornaments, go out and drive the damn thing and enjoy, why obsess over a flimsy bit of metal that's stuck to your wheels that no one notices

Wheel weights are my bug bear. The ribbons the tyre places use are dreadful, made up of alternating 5g and 10g weights, so if you need 60g you get quite a long string. The audi ones are individual for each weight, but you would need to buy loads so that you have a selection available when you get tyres fitted, which would be very costly. I asked my dealer if when they fitted tyres they used oe weights, but they didn't. In the end I found a company that makes the weights and bought a selection box which has individual weights from 5g upto 30g, and look very neat on my refurbed 20" A6 Avant wheels. Not quite the same chamfered profile as the OE but far superior than standard weights.
