    Audi A4 tdi 2.0
    Has anyone had an issue with oil pressure causing oil to be forced past the turbo oil seals into the exhaust.any info would be appreciated

    generally this happens when the oil seals are worn out and your turbo needs an overhaul.
    Audi 80 tdi avant with 360,000 miles...

    My turbo has been off and tested at ac turbos,it has also had a full overhaul

    Yes the guy said it sounds like crankcase oil pressure.he tested my turbo on the machine and it never passed oil so he said something is forcing it past

    nest job is to rig up an oil pressure tester and see what you are getting with the engine running. only 2 things i can think of, the pressure relief valve on the pump is jammed or , and its a long shot, there may be a restrictor in the oil feed pipe to the turbo, by way of a smaller hole in one of the banjo unions, and this is missing. to be fair though i have only ever known a turbo to leak because its broken. too much oil pressure , which is a very very rare thing to have, usually results in oil being forced out of every orifice it can find, oil seals, cam cover. now i don't know of ac turbos, but if your car came into my garage, even if you have had the turbo tested, i would still send it to turbo technics and get them to give it the once over. yes, i have known plenty of turbos to dump oil straight in to the exhaust, often on newish cars. nissan x trails did it a lot circa 2004.

    new.ok I will do some

    oil passing turbo seals into exhaust creating smoke was back pressure from a piston that had gone bad.wounded is not the word ������

    Hi been under my golf mk4 tdi 115bhp today to do other jobs and noticed a oily flexi pipe the turbos still boosting up ok and still good mpg any ideas guys and girls would be good the head gasket was done 5000 miles ago just seems like one thing after another
