Hi I'm new to the Phaeton and have just purchased a 54 plate V10 the owner told me it has a very small leak approx 1 ltr every 8000 miles and does not spill on to the drive well what a load of crap that was now found it to be the combi pump leaking has anyone done one of these as there is only one bolt that we cannot get too and don't want this to tarnish the owning experience.

    cheers neil

Those are probably the most difficult engine I have ever worked on, I would rather change the plugs on a XJ12 HE blindfolded with one hand tied behind my back than get deep into one of those, utter nightmares. Have you removed the inlet manifold?

I use a very short 5-mm hex key with a 10-mm drive fitting and a 10-mm ratchet spanner. The situation is much the same with a Toerag 5 cylinder.
