A3 Door lights and interior lights not working.

Hi all,
I have just purchased an Audi A3 2.0TDI 5 door on a 61Reg and have noticed that none of the red lights are working on any of the doors also the interior light and boot light doesn't work either. The dash display shows when the doors are open and goes off when they are shut so don't think it is a door switch problem and I have checked the fuses which all look okay. I cant help thinking that these problems are linked in some way to a relay or something!. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated or if this problem has been posted before previously a link to the thread may help.
I have managed to sort out the interior lights, it turn out to be a missing fuse which I have replaced but all 4 door lights are still not working, any suggestions anybody?

Are you sure those are lights? Pop one off and see if there is a bulb & wiring behind the lens. Quite often there's just a hole behind the lens.
