Hi, I wonder if anyone can help with a problem on my A6 MMI 2007 please? I have had the car (A6 Quattro saloon) from new and love it.

Recently the NAV button on the MMI control panel (centre console) has ceased to operate and the red light for that button does not come on. All the other buttons work fine but I cannot get to the satnav screen although I believe the satnav will still be working.

When the problem occurred the NAV button stuck down and felt it mechanically interfering, so I suspect the micro-switch. The switch has now freed up and is clicking normally but still not having any effect. I do not believe any drinks have spilled onto the buttons.

Is it possible that the switch could be repaired or cleaned or replaced? Or must I replace the control module which is very expensive?

Any advice welcomed. I love the car and otherwise it is running well after 8 years.

    Thanks,
    James
