Have a look at hazzydays or kufatec. They sell the kit required.

I was hoping to do it myself on the cheap buying possibly secondhand kit. I just need some ideas and possible part numbers, do I need extra wiring looms, ecu's etc.
Anyone have any experience fitting this stuff. Wish I had the money to drive in drive out with it all fitted but it does take some of the fun out of it.

Jay10 did you ever get your system fitted? I've been looking into this for a while now and have just brought the kit to do it, it doesn't seem to complicated. The canbus signal is picked up from the boot the ecu plugs in and the wiring loom goes down to the new exhaust silencers and on to the sound actuators.

    Hi all
Well I fitted my active exhaust system over the weekend and apart from a few little complications it all went well. It works as I expected and I'm happy with the audi parts, but I then tried fitting the kufatec sound booster pro to the system and nothing is working. It has 2 led lights on it, 1 is ment to flash every second to tell you its speaking to the exhaust speakers and the other flashes very fast almost constant to tell you its speaking to the canbus. The canbus light works but the other doesn't.
Does anyone have any experience with this unit and have any sort of resolution for me or do I just have a dud and need to return it.
I also have a pdf of the fitting instructions if anyone needs them, just pm me and I will send them over.

Hi there. I've been thinking about doing this myself for my 184 Scirocco but I can't find fitting information, and suppliers are less than forthcoming. I've not yet spoken to kufatec but so far I've had replies from ceta and maxhaust in Germany who have said conflicting things about what looks like the same kit. Ceta tell me the speaker needs welding in to the exhaust system but no programming, just plug and play. Maxhaust tell me that it just sits under the boot floor, not welded in, but they need my car in Germany to programme it up to the ECU.

I've also found the kit at a British supplier just down the road from me who say it needs both welding in and programming up to the ECU, but they want the best part of half a grand to install it themselves, which makes it cost a lot more than it's worth to me.

if you could send the pdf over please I'd be able to make a proper decision on whether or not to plough £800 into this. Having always had petrols until now I'd like a bit of tone coming out the back, but don't really want to go down the route of full turbo back/DPF removal and the legal issues and potential headaches that come with it, so this retrofit is just about perfect.

    Thanks.

    Hi Goodeone,

Got part of an Active Exhaust.........minefield when trying to speak to Audi about it....

So the Active Exhaust I have is from a 2012 BiTDi A6 Allroad.

Two back boxs, running up 2 seperate pipes.

This would go into 2 silencers on the middle section (which had sensors on each) into 1......

Can't get any advice or photo's of the middle section (4G0 071 902 A)...and wondering if I cut the rear boxes off and attach to the existing system, then connect up via the Control Module and loom...........as no one seems to know if the centre section of exhaust has any sensors or is just required to keep the noise down, as the rear boxes are smaller with the Active Sound.......can you send me the fitting instructions (as the ones I have are in German). PM'd you. Cheers Rob
