Hi, new to Audi and MMI so bear with me pls

I can copy music to the MMI HDD and it organises by author, album, etc. I can then play by artist, album etc. when I select jukebox as the source.

I want to play by playlists, I can see a concept of playlists in the jukebox but how do I create playlists pls?

I don't believe you can. I'll check with the Mrs later as she has tried the same on her A5 and there isn't a way. We both resorted to a cheap second hand iPod off eBay and use that now

the seemingly simplest thing appears to be a widely researched subject, based on google

sounds like the Jukebox doesn't support playlists.

an ipod off fleabay is exactly what i had in the previous motor - an 04 reg beamer - i was hoping the world had evolved since then.

ive found this SD Card approach, will try that before resorting to an ipod - keeps the MMI port available for an iphone.

So you advise copying music to an SD card and using that?
