    Hi,

I've been searching the forums for months now - gathering advice on tuning / re-map options for my A7 Bitdi and struggling to find many posts.

I've had many tuned saabs in the past, tuned by specialists, so am aware of the pitfalls and different routes to but just struggling to find many posts for the A7 or A6 Bitdi.

I'm aware of a number of tuning companies like MTM, ABT, Superchips, Revo etc and really wanted the ability to plug in and load a map by hand held device thru the diagnostics port and see that Superchips do this using Blu-fin. This would then allow me to remove the tune before taking the car in for service or if I had a problem with the car and wanted to remove the tune to make sure my warranty wasn't invalidated.

However what I've read about Superchips on the A7 is that it doesn't deliver the power quite the same as the orig power delivery.

The only people that I have phoned is SQR to understand the MTM upgrade (Cantronic) and think this is the route I'm now going to go. I know you can't plug and play but I want a tune that's well researched and designed for the car.

Before I purchase, does anyone have any views or experiences of MTM or other tuners please??

    Thanks
    Chris

With any remap, switchable or not they're all traceable when Audi connect the car to their system. Bare this in mind.

Thanks - I assume that includes the MTM Cantronic box, although that's not what the chap told me at SQR. He said out of the two options they do, the cantronic box is the one that can be removed at the roadside and can't be traced by the dealer. It's the one they recommend if car still under warranty.

Sounds like I need to speak with them again in case I misunderstood.

    Cheers

Well, he would say that, wouldn't he. He wants to flog you his system. If its been tuned its traceable.
