Hi guys new to the forum and new to Audi so please accept my lack of brand related knowledge.

I recently bought an a6 leMans 2.0TDi. One thing I have noticed and is a tad annoying is that the heated seats really don't get as warm as I think the should. My mother had a 55 plate A4 with cloth and a 57 A4 Cab with leather (only three heat settings) and the seats got EXTREMELY warm in both to the point at times it could be uncomfortable. Though fantastic when the back plays up! In the A6 I've noticed the seats get nowhere hear that warm. I have them set to six usually and they are as warm as I would expect them to be on say setting 3. I've rang round a few "specialists" who have all said it's never something they have heard of or encountered before. I've done numerous searches and trawled through various forums but have only found info on non mowing seats (mine are working).

As the seats are working and do warm up I don't think it's so much a fault with the seats and deaf not one with the supply. So my only other questions would be, is there a thermistor unit for the seat temperatures. Is it common to both seats? Where would it be located? Is it a simple fix? To me it seems as if the seats are registering a higher temperature than is actually being provided, or that a sensor is shutting the seats off before the correct temperature is reached.

Anyone had this before or have any ideas?

I kind of figured you have a facelift.

I've got a pre-facelift C6, but had to replace the climate control unit to make it compatible with retroftied MMI 3G, however I noticed a much lower temperature when I fitted the facelift control panel, so much so I put the old one back in to make sure there was not a wiring harness fault. But in the end the FL version run the seats at a much lower temp than the pre-FL version.

So far I've not found any setting in the coding that would increase the current to the heating elements.

My prefacelift gets way too hot on 6, when I pick the daughter up from volleyball/netball I've it cranked up to 6 in colder months, regardless she turns it down or off as soon as she gets in.

Am now really glad I've got a pre facelift...no DPF and no audi emissions scandal...(yet) and it now seems far warmer seats!
