Strange rattle and 'whoosh' noise during acceleration after manifold & actuator change

either a boost pipe is loose as crasher says, or something on the exhaust side is loose, maybe the egr or the exhaust manifold gasket has broken on a port, or is loose and leaking.

Just a quick update on this issue... The rattling noise transpired to be a loose bolt on the dual mass flywheel which had been fitted Nov '14. Had to change the drive plate and some new bolts,,, the fly wheel was OK as the bolt had loosened over a period of time and then started to rub off the dust plate cover. Simple enough fix in the end but boy did it cause a lot of confusion on what the problem was!

Yes... the 'whoosh' noise was the bolt head spinning on the dust plate cover.

We did the first cam belt change on a Superb 2L CR TDI 8v last week and the idler roller nut was loose, only held in place by the plastic cover...
