    Trying the mirror from the other side is a dumb idea as you could easily break the glass. Testing with a meter of a spare side light bulb is the way to go. Regards Peter

    £215 odd for the part - because it is heated and auto dimming. Might just buy a heated one as a replacement.....

    That's Audi prices for you. Luckily mine was under warranty 😄
    I bet you could find the equivalent skoda or vw part for half the price. I used to use TPS for my vag parts and they normally find the cheaper variant.

    £215 for the auto dimming, heated glass yes. Just heated looks a lot cheaper....
