Headlight switch question

I have a 2014 Ultra with auto lights. The dipped beam lamp does not illuminate when dipped beam lights are on (even when manually selected dipped beam) - should it? It does glow orange like the other position symbols when lights are off. The sidelights lamp illuminates green when they are on, and I would expect the dipped beam also to illuminate (as they do in our TT with auto lights). The car warranty is about to expire so I wonder whether it is a fault or if it's normal - although hardly a significant issue!

Pretty sure it is normal. Only the sidelights part goes green when they or the headlights are on. When set to Auto of course there is no concept of sidelights being on on their own as Auto always switches the headlights on

Thank you - I had always assumed it was normal until we got the TT and the headlight lamp illuminates when on! So thought I'd check...

I noticed the same. Your post made me to go outside and double check it. It is normal, dipped beam does not illuminate green.
