Retrofit DAB again

Have purchased the aerial you suggested tonight. Shame have to not go retro but the goal was DAB..... not to start pulling apart my pride and joy :-)

DMA1006......it has the smb connector you need to go in the back of the radio unit...it's the same connection as fakra. .just without the plastic housing.
I can't see a kma version....

Just thought would let you know that everything has arrived and it fitted in minutes. Works brilliantly. No code protection in the new unit also! Shame I can't go OEM aerial and will try and find a decent route for the aerial wire too but thanks again for all your help!

Hope might be able to recoup some money via sale of the old radio unit and the amplifier that I no longer need.

Excellent news. ..I couldn't be without DAB now....
It's not as neat as OEM but it's a hell of a lot quicker using a third party aerial and the ones from dabonwheels are excellent.

Sadly been out to the car again this afternoon and the CP has kicked in so off to the local dealer on Monday sadly but hey ho

Well, I went to my local dealer who said they would remove CP for free! Sadly when they had the car they said there was a fault and would need the car for a couple of hours. I did not make the appointment. Went back to my local chap with VCDS and he saw there was an old fault where we had removed the unit and there was the DAB fault of which was corrected by using this link AudiEnthusiasts Please Check Software Version Management

Code protection was still present at that point.

We then re ran the firmware update 0257 and this seemed to clear the CP and has been fine all day.

Is this a way to remove CP that we have stumbled across??
