MK5 TDI injector/ECU issue? please help

Hi, 1st post (anywhere!) so please excuse if I muck this right up!

OK; I have a 2004 MK5 1.9TDI Golf (BKC engine code and the 105ps version). Manual 5 speed. it has high mileage @ 184k, but was running sweet as anything! However over the last few weeks it has developed a nasty problem. A bit lumpy on idle (I have already replaced the MAF!) and then once 'opened up' a little at around 3000rpm seems to cut out a cylinder, the car runs VERY jittery! then if I pull over switch off, on again it runs fine for a mile or two - or more at times! no engine lights come on or anything like that........... I've had it diagnosed and 'Electrical issue to injector 1' was the result on the 1 occasion it did flash a dash light. Anyone any idea what could be causing this??? ECU? Injector issue???? Please please help....... thanks

Hi rik, welcome to forum. Symptoms sound like injector wiring loom needs replacing.

Hi, thanks for quick response, looked on one of the 'manual' sites and I need to get hold of 2x specialist tools (the job seems fairly straight forward to do!).... any idea where I can get hold of the 'T10310 & T10312???

Don't think you'll need the tools, search for you tube vids. Shouldn't take a garage long to do if you're in doubt.

Hi Guys,

Just a quick response to thank you. Bought the wiring loom, £80 (Genuine part), 2.5hrs later I had it changed over - harder part is removing the rocker cover rather than the install itself! but needless to say it sorted the problem..... so many thanks for diagnosing it! appreciated.........
