Audi A3 2.0 tdi Sportback power loss

Hi All,


I recently noticed a whistle like sound coming from my engine and power loss on the motorway which prevented me from travelling over 70mph. My car would also struggle if there was a slight Incline while on the motorway and the speed would drop.

Also, the engine emissions light came up on the dash board and the following codes came up when I scanned it:

01025

I took the car to the garage and had the turbo replaced but the power loss issue remains. So whenever I drive on the motorway and I hit 60mph, I can feel the car has lost power from this point on it will accelerate extremely slowly and seems to have no power.

Any ideas or advice would be much appreciated.

The fault code 000665= Boost Pressure Regulation: Control Range Not Reached

Seeing as the turbo has been replaced we can rule this out. Is there any excessive black smoke on acceleration??

Check all of the turbo hoses from the turbo, through the intercooler and back out to the turbo, it is common for the clips to snap on the connections to the intercooler itself (you may have to remove the belly-pan to see fully), this could give you the whistling noise. This is the easies thing to check first, other possible defective items are the Charge pressure control and the diverter valve.
