I have a few pals who've had to replace turbos on their 2 litre engines, may have already been done on this one. Injector recall on these as well I think around that era. Might be a smart car but personally i'd keep away from that engine and box at that age and mileage.

I thought I'd have had more answers and advice but i guess the more experienced are <REMOVED> off with new ones asking the same crap

Anyway, as you say rob it's probably best left, it's the auto box that's scaring me plus not wanting me to go far at all ie round his block, probably if he'd said take a good run so to see the box is ok ect ect but he seemed to just want it sold. And when I said I'll let in know tomorow (today) you could see he was annoyed, is if I'm going to first I go and see aye right!

Lovely car too but I somehow think there's problems with it, whether be the auto/paddles or something else...I'm not wanting a £4000 piece of scrap in the drive

more answers, sorry pal, its been a 12 hour window on saturday night thru sunday morning. most of the english will have been drowning their sorrows, the welsh will have been out celebrating, the few ozzies, forget them, and you being from scotland will have no idea what i am going on about.
anyway, if someone won't let you take it for a good test drive, then walk as they are trying to hide something. the oil pump is what would worry me. you need evidence that its been done or you could be landed with a huge bill.
