    Hi,

So I have a issue with my 2006 Audi A4 B7, recently it had a new turbo and balance shaft fixed and it drove perfectly fine for 2 weeks. Yesterday while I was driving my ESP light randomly came on and lost power with glow plug light flashing. Funny enough my rear brake light were always on even though brake is not being applied.

I checked around the forums and found that it could be the fuse located in the ECU box and it surely was! It was the blue fuse holder 15A fuse which was blown, I replaced it and all the lights on the dash went and I had full power back with the rear brake light not always on but after 2 mins same thing happened again and lost power, checked the fuse and it was blown!!!! Put a new fuse on and it did the same thing when i drove for 3 mins, now the fuse blows while the car hasnt even started. What can it be? Need some urgent help please!

I got bunch of fault codes im getting -

    (Ignore the MAF one)

Disconnect the brake lights switch and see if the fuse still blows.

The fuse the blows will be what is called S102 which is described as "engine control unit fuse" which goes to pins 3, 5 and 6 of the engine ECU so I think you will find it is the EGR valve full of oil.

Let me try this tomorrow, I tried disconnecting the throttle body earlier on but fuse still blows, I'll take the egr wire and check and do the same for the brake switch. I'll keep you updated.

Hey, I have tried to take the brake switch out but no luck fuse still blows, I did the same for the EGR but the fuse still blows as well. Any other option I can try?

Can you confirm your engine code is BLB and the car is manual?

OK, back to basics. Unplug the larger 94 pin ECU plug and see if the fuse blows.

Take the spring clip off of the top of the ECU by pushing one side down and away with a flat bladed screwdriver, lift it up and pull the slider out of the larger of the two plugs which withdraws the plug.

Seems to be easy, I'll give it a go tonight. Btw I put another 15a fuse in the blue holder and suprisingly when I started the car it did not blow so I immediately cleared the codes and did another scan and I got these codes

    - P2413 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation System Performance.

Then the fuse blew when I was driving and could hear the turbo spooling, limp mode no power usual things.
