Currently looking for a car. Skoda Octavia VRS is looking good, however I am thinking of holding off on the purchase as I feel there may be a few bargains to be had over the coming months. As this will affect not only new car sales but will probably affect trade in prices as well.

I am sure there will be buyers out there who will not look at anything related to the VW group until this mess (putting that nicely) has been sorted which is going to take months if not years to resolve.

    What do you think?

EU6 engines are not affected by what I was reading today, but can't help but feel people are gonna not know; thus potential for values to slide!?

So I wonder if you have an unaffected one you'll get a premium on used values then?😉
Hope so because my 2009 A6 TdiE is one of the lucky ones not affected...as per the Audi VIN check website.

Strange, mine is too CAGB and it is affected according audi.uk and audi.de. Maybe because it is 2011 or maybe because it is for Belgium market.
