    Hi all, still have this vibration problem with my audi. it happens around 2000 rpm but only when warm, almost like a buffeting vibration which then clears around the 60mph mark. The car has recently had new tyres,allignment check, rear pads and a new handbrake cable, and then passed its MOT. The garage man said it has him stumped as to what it could be. I have read that a transmission flush and filter could be in order but the mechaic was weary to do this because of cost and might not sort the problem.

    Apart from this the car is fine and not down on power etc and according to the mechanic all drive shafts and prop seem fine. My only concern is I am moving to Italy soon and have to drive the car down there and would much rather have this sorted prior to leaving.

    She has done 130k and was fully serviced recently and had a new throttle body fitted due to fault code showing, we have had the car now for 12 months and this vibration did not surface until 8 months into ownership. Any help/advice would be so much appreciated. Thanks all

    Where do you feel the vibration? ie steering wheel, through whole car?

    Its felt thru the whole car, very apparent to driver and passenger. jp

    As mentioned earlier you do need to get it scanned with VCDS.

    ZF recommends fluid and filter change by 80k and then every 50k from then on. I had mine done at 82k but didn't have any vibration issues just a jerkiness when changing down from 3rd, 2nd and 1st which generally disappeared since the change.

    There's also an internal bolt tightening sequence that should be done when the tranny pans been dropped with improves the gearbox
    XK8 96 Dyno'd at 305 and LPG converted, a mere 65ppl
