    Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has had issue with the rubber door seals?

I noticed yesterday a bit of rubber caught in the panel line of the near side rear door, opened the door and found the entire seal was sagging and loose and the adhesive had come away from the door.

I've only had the car 2 weeks and this door has only been opened a handful of times, I have been advised that seals aren't covered under warranty however as its still within its 30days exchange period, I'm taking the car back to the dealer (Approved Audi) on Monday,

Just wondering whether I should push for a new seal? I have no doubt they will just glue the current back?

If they do the latter repair should I request this comes with some sort of guarantee?

I have included some pics, any advice is welcomed,

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,

Yes the seal is going to be replaced free by the main dealer, which they will complete the same time as the cars 1st MOT.

    Cheers,

Very surprising how that seal can come off as its held on with double sided tape which is extremely tough to remove. Any evidence of previous repair on the door as thats the only reason i can think of why the seal would be removed

No idea of any previous repair or damage, I didn't pay particular attention to the door seals when I looked over the car on collection, didnt think I would have to be so meticulous when buying a car from an approved dealer, lesson learnt I guess,

however I have recently noticed that the tailgate seal is also not sitting properly and needs pulling out from between the panel line of the bumper and the sill, I haven't taken a picture of this but something I will point out when I take the car in,

Hi. I have gor similair issue with my A7. Not that drastic like yours but on the drivers side about 15cm of seal came of the door. This cause whisteling noise issue while driving particularry on wet road which is quite annoying. I am going to use some rubber seal (seen some in Halfords) to sort it out as the car is out of the warranty now.
