I need to get the coding changed on my passat B6 rcd 300 radio to recognise the aux port.

Hey - I managed to sort it! Got one of these dodgy cables from ebay, needed it done quickly in time for an upcoming road trip.

Changed the code to 1 and the aux in now shows.

Only issue now is the sound quality! Seem to be so many options for pin arrangement for the RCD 300. Have found one that is 'semi' loud but there is a prevailing beep noise which is no good. I am using this aux input cable from ebay - item no. 351413170260.

Have tried a few pin arrangements - all far from satisfactory. Any advice would be massively appreciated!

I cannot comment on pins or anything, however, when I fitted the aux to rns-e in my Audi, I thought the quality was good, but was very very low volume. I got a "sound shocker pro", and honestly, it is perfect for me. The volume is boosted.

Your problem may be the quality of the download is poor? Sorry can't help anymore.

Newbie forum virgin too. Need help VW POLO 2005 reg. April 2005 only have two keys now immobilizer does not recognise keys. Located Edgware unlikely to be going anywhere soon.

Hi there,

I replaced my symphony ii radio with another of the same model (just a straight swap, no upgrading) but now having issues with the CAN bus.
Radio info has disappeared from the dash, does not turn on and off with ignition and switches off automatically after an hour when driving.

I've checked the wires and all seem to be ok, lights also dim along with the interior when prompted.

Having done a bit of research, I think I've found the correct coding in order to sync the "new" radio with the car, I'm just lacking vagcom to access it.

Though a minor issue, if you could help me I would be ever so grateful.
