A6 Avant Battery Drain unless lock using the key/rear window not working etc

Hi I don't know if anyone can point me in the right direction here I bought the car last year (1.9tdi avant 2004) the guy mentioned he always used 'the key' to lock the car, I realised a few days later that over a few days the battery drains if you lock the car using the fob. I checked all coutesy lights & noticed that the red lights inside the door interior handles remained on so thought I'd cracked it & disconnected these (with snips) still no good. The tailgate wouldn't lock via the remote so I thought the control module maybe faulty & staying live but I managed to repair the tailgate locking unit. Doing searches I removed and checked the control module under the carpet but all seemed well no signs of water ingress or damaged circuits? I bought a £50 ebay vcds to help with an egr issue I had but it can't communicate with the conv/control module? Just for good measure the rear speakers aren't working and the rear left window will only operate from the drivers door? All related maybe or just coincidence? Any pointers gratefully received

Did you get a fix for it.? I have my red lights staying on also.... And the battery keeps draining.
