Not sure as only read things ages ago when researching swirl manifolds on Audi V6, does not the 3.0TDi BMW swallow the butterflies leading to engine failure?

Lol @ Mark! Yeah Gup it's known issue, I did ask the bloke if it was done before purchase and he assured me the previous owner had it done through the *******, although when I fine combed through the receipts I couldn't find any evidence of it 😡. Seemed like a genuine enough guy so I'm going to take his word for it for now and try to enjoy the purchase until the paranoia gets to me, usually it does tend to with these things. Haha. But came with loads of paperwork, lots been done and bodywork and interior is mint! Wish me luck!

Always liked Chris Bangle's 7... Lots of gadgets to play with at least! I wouldn't take the previous owners word that the blanking plates have been done! If you don't know what to look for then an independent BMW garage will be able to tell and hopefully not charge to see if it's been done... After all it could be a costly mistake! Anyways pics of the new beast please

When I was looking at the DIY guides, the instructions involved taking off the manifold, egr and a bunch of other stuff to gain access. I don't think anyone is going to be kind enough to do it for free! But I will check when I have some change to spare, which is defo not this month! Still need to sell the Audi!

I'll put up some pics once I give it a clean and polish over the weekend!

    Evening gents,

Just thinking if I'm wasting money and trying to make myself feel better. Lol
The Mrs curbed my rear alloy last night and I've got it booked in for a refurb tomorrow. Just wondering does everyone get theirs refurbed after any little scratch or do you guys wait a while to see if you get unlucky again.... 😡😢

How long did it take her?

I prefer to get a few dings on them before a repair, however if she's putting her hand in her oversized handbag get it done now!

Lol all of 2 weeks. But sadly not. Monies be out my pocket! It's only £50 for a mobile repair. But £50 sounds like a lot when I think I might be wasting it 😕😐.. So lost!
