Has anyone done a OEM Retrofit of the reverse camera?

Where does the unit fit into? ETKA say either side ELSAWIN say's the right hand rear boot area by the tools.

I have no studs there to fit the holder to, if anyone has this on their car can you post up a picture.

    Thanks.

It should fit under the tools near the park brake control module. However I would look to make a mount near the MMI equipment, as If you have TV then you don't need to run a new FBAS wire to the Control head or 5F module.

    Thanks B5NUT,

I dont have the TV, i'll just run a FBAS to the MMI unit.

I have the plastic bracket that the unit sits in but i cannot see where the thing fits in to.

I may have to put in a couple of rivenut studs in place.

You don't happen to have a picture of where you put yours.

Sorry I don't, I fitted one to an Avant a few years ago, but the car had TV so just fitted the module with the MMI equipment on the left side, so I only had to make up a small FBAS cable. I also ran the cables to the camera using the left hand side hinge.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, i have now brought a 2010 facelift A6 Avant, and wanted to fit the reverse camera, what parts do you need for this? (I brought most of it for my 2006 2g Avant but i dont think its the same parts for the 3g)
any help or parts list would be appriciated.
I have a genuine camera and boot handle, and the 4g0 camera module.
