Apple CarPlay

Hey Guys,

Does anyone know if the new Q7 (or any Audi out of interest) actually comes Apple CarPlay at all?

Can't seem to see it for certain in the spec in the brochure but then there are random articles online saying that Audi was incorporating in to its 2015 new cars...

The new Q7 does come with Apple Car play if you order phone box as an option or as part of the technology pack

@fusion1966 have you (if you have an iPhone) tried Apple CarPlay?

I'm not convinced it comes with this version of the Q and is something that comes later in the year? Looking at the Audi website it seems to suggest later in the year...Now I don't know is it a simple software upgrade or just not possible on the first versions of the new model?

I was wrong, apple CarPlay isn't included at the moment and Audi can't confirm if and when it will be available. The technician at Audi I spoke to blamed apple for pulling it last minute

Yup no CarPlay which is a shame...still being mooted to cone out later this year so wonder if simple software upgrade going forward...

Also what a design flaw with centre armrest console - the iPhone 6 connected to Audi charger doesn't fit

Will try with Apple cable as that's much more flexible

iPhone 6 fits with normal lightening cable for sure

Hi apple car play and android auto are aviable only with smartphone option. In Italy was delivered in September 2015.

I have Audi phone box but CarPlay is not yet available in the UK

if I'm incorrect I apologise but if someone has managed to get it with a UK purchased Q7 then please feel free to provide some assistance in setting it up

Audi smartphone interface are not included in Audi phone box.
