I have a rather odd request which I am hoping one of the collective A6 Allroad BiTdi owners will be able to help me with !

I bit of Googling on VAG part exhaust numbers for the Allroad BiTdi and 3.0Tdi 245ps shows (its worth noting that the A6 Avant have different exhaust part numbers cf. A6 Allroad)

    BiTDi (CGQB)
Part numbers for Resonating back box for BiTdi (left & right) = 4G0253610S & 4G0253609S
Part number for Exaust pipe feeding into resonating back box = 4G0253409AE

    3.0TDi 245 PS (CDUD)
Part numbers for Resonating back box (left & right) = 4G0253610AL & 4G0253609AL
Part number for Exaust pipe feeding into non-resonating back box = 4G0253409AH

I am trying to determine the diameter of the exhaust pipe entering the rear back box of the A6 Allroad BiTdi (303PS/320PS) ? Anyone fancy peering under their BiTdi with a tape measure / measuring caliper ?

    Cheers

    Hi ukgroucho

Thanks again for taking the photo - I tried to PM you but my post count is too low...

May I impose on your again ! could you try and locate the part number for either of the back boxes - it should look like the attached - and is located on the underside of the backbox most likely close to the exhaust exit tube

And can you confirm if the visible tailpipe is circular or oval ?

Thanks ! I owe you a virtual beer for scrabbling under your car !
