    Hi all

Having fixed the Xenon headlight range fault and replaced both fuel senders on my 2007 A6 Le Mans, thanks to brilliant advice from this forum, I am now left with one fault:

    Address 01 : Engine

    1 fault found
005491 - Left Engine Mount Solenoid Valve (N144)
    P1573 - 001 - Open Circuit

It has a fault priority of 0.

Could someone tell me how serious this might be. (I am about to travel extensively in France)

How easy is it to fix? Expensive?

    Cheers

That means a new engine mount which are around £200 genuine and there are a number of different ones depending on the cars spec. Some are available aftermarket such as for the A6 4F quattro with the automatic six speed which I can do from Febi for £101.51 plus £10 P&P and this is in stock for next day delivery.

Quite easy, release the nuts, lift the engine, remove the old and fit the new and re-assemble.

    UPDATE

I decided to take it to the local Audi dealer.

    Part A4F0 199 379 BL £199.45 including VAT.

3 hours labour £270 including VAT.

Total £470 ouch!! (I did get 10% off this, as I have a service plan with them)

Apparently, the front sub frame needs to be dropped.

Not sure that I have noticed any difference.

    Cheers

Re-checked VCDS after 200 miles. Fault has cleared!

Suspension and brakes feel tighter. Maybe there was some slack in the system.

    Cheers

Geoff, this one won't show in a scan unless there's a fault, I think it does this in the 'engine' category as to list things that are OK would take too long.

    Yes, MarkTM is correct.

If there is a fault with an engine mounting, it shows up in the engine category, as I posted further up the thread. No fault, no report!

    Cheers
