    does anyone use one of these on their cars? i am thinking of getting one on my 1.4 tsi 122, but not sure? what do people think about them?

    Rule of thumb with these are the size of the air box and it's filter , if small a K&N can be beneficial , over oiling it after cleaning is well documented causing maf problems .

    A 130 PD received the same size airbox as a 4.2 V8 so no restriction . Even at 200 bhp on a dyno the PD gained just 1 bhp when the standard filter was removed .

    so you wouldnt bother with the airbox?

    Get some concrete before and after dyno evidence from others with the same engine .

    I'd spend my money on nice wheel valve caps and wind deflectors

    I was just wanting better airflow and stuff like that. it means that the car would be able to deal with a better remap.

    Most VAG cars have a fairly good airflow system and this box is a waste of money IMO as it is in the middle of the standard ducting, A K&N filter was useful on a twin choke carburettor engine not so much nowadays

    Fair enough, so it's useless? They even guarantee 4-10 bhp? What about the forge induction kit?
