    Hi All,

Unfortunately, my MMI needs replacing. According to the dealer, the part number required is: 8T2 035 652HX and the whole thing would cost me in the region of £2,000. I've had a look on ebay to see if I can source a second-hand unit, but I can only see new units available.....costing around £1600....so no great savings to be had there....

Can anybody tell me if I need to source a part with exactly the same part number, or are there a family of parts with similar numbers that will do exactly the same job?

I've seen a few "8T2 035 652D" which would cost in the region of £400.....much more in my budget!

    All help gratefully received!!

    E.

    Another question, if i may....

What is the difference between a RHD MMI unit (8T2 035 652) and a LHD MMI unit (8T1 035 652)....and is there any reason why a LHD unit won't work in a RHD car?
I'm assuming that there's a reason, or the units would have been labelled 8T0 035 652

And yeah I know....there were two questions there... ;-)
