2007 central locking switch replacement

Hi,

2007 1.9tdi Fabia 2.

On the central partition between the front seats there is a central locking switch to lock/unlock all doors.

It will lock but now refuses to open any doors. There is power to the switch as it illuminates. The central locking will open with the remote fob and key.

I have ordered a replacement switch from Skoda at just under £17.

Anyone have any ideas how to replace?
