I did my old splitty with waxoyl back in 80's, and several more cars since, the stuff gets everywhere! . Anyway I ended up using Dynax S50 aerosols on the new Up!. It went on really well with minimal mess, got all the hollow subframe sections done with the lance and the rest of the black steelwork, brake pipes, wishbones, subframes, track rod threads etc all done out of two cans. Remains to be seen how it performs over the winter, I know a guy who has a similar age Up! which hasnt been sprayed, so will be interesting to compare the two cars over the coming years. Anyone else bothered to spray a new car underneath? For better or worse?
1000 miles in and the car is doing exactly what we got it for - short trips buzzing about, my only gripe is lack of temp gauge and pointless gear change indicator, but missus drives it mainly and shes oblivious.
