    Hello all.

Few days ago ha some one bumped into my rear. Car i meant, obviously:0)

Now my front screen wipers are extremely slow. I would think its because of that extreme heat, but not guaranteed.

Any one has an advise on this??

Any one want to share an experience?

Could i use them as it is for now without risk of killing something (not some one)?

    Thanks.

The wiper mechanism on B6 is known to seize up. You can try removing and greasing but it really is best to replace.
Search Google for a how to.

I did mine myself, about 6 years ago now the parts cost about £70 and it took me an hour. Most difficult part was getting the wiper arms off.

pop the plastic covers off and penetrating oil on the splines a few times a few days before you start,a wiper arm puller is a good idea.

I had to strip down the linkages as mine stopped altogether, it is a known problem. It was not an easy job as I had to get a garage to remove the wiper arms. I did manage to remove the linkage from the motor rotor and remove it from the car. Once I could see it, the problem was obvious. A good hammering to separate the linkages followed by a cleaning and sanding before greasing it all up and reassembling it. Very satisfying once it was working again but not a job I would do again.

It was winter and my everyday driver so I didn't have a few days! The el cheapo wiper puller cracked trying to get them off..... ISTR I ended up making a bracket so my small 3 leg puller would fit in the end.
