I would be careful what you say and do, it is extremely unlikely that it is the DMF causing your problem so do the logical thing fist, start your own post with a good description of what is happening now. also, do you have the Schas part number off of the box?

    Hi,

Thanks for engaging back into this old topic.

I will do as you advised - start a new topic with my problem (which is identical to the one in this topic/thread).
Anyway, the KIT that I bought has a SACHS part number:

    2290 602 004 (009)

This website here tells me that it is in fact the correct part for my car: SACHS Clutch Kit (2290 602 004) buy cheap online

You say that it is highly unlikely that it is the DMF. I am just saying that it is also highly unlikely that I am having exact same problems as jonjojo1 right after changing the DMF. He changed all the usual and logical suspects that cause problems with hot start without success. The only thing he didn't change is the DMF itself. So I thought to go right after the most logical thing that caused the problem - the recently changed DMF. But, if you have a smarter advice (for not spending any more cash just to diagnose) I will be very happy to give them a try.

BTW, I scanned the car for errors, and nothing appeared except the one glow plug. At current spring temperatures it is not activating anyway, it is the error from few months back.

I am actually very angry with myself because instead of going to an official Audi service and getting them to install the genuine part I opted for the cheaper option to save myself 200 EUR. We all know how this story usually ends: throwing away money spent for the first cheaper option and going to the Audi for the genuine part with spending as much + the amount I was trying to spare. Some people will never learn :-)

I started a new thread with my own description: https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/s...ter-DMF-change

    Best regards,
    Mure
