    When you turn the ignition on can you hear the pump wining for 2 or 3 seconds. Listen carefully. If no wine then remove the cover plate under the seat and check the connections and for a 12 volt feed when the engine is cranking. Regards Peter

    Ok will try this weekend I suspect the in tank pump to be non functioning is there a relay ?
    it's a 2000 a6 2.5 Akn auto saloon model.

    Im scared to run it near half a tank now if it is in tank pump is there a how to? And can I just replace pump not the whole sender assembly?
