Intermittent vibration

Hi,

My 2009 A6 3.0 TDI Quattro has the dreaded vibration problem.

The vibration is felt through the body, rather than through the steering wheel. A check of the various suspension joints shows nothing amiss. It recently flew through an MOT without advisories.
From previous 4 wheel drive car experience, my bet is the prop shaft (drive shaft) couplings or centre bearing, but I see from ETKA that Audi only sell the complete unit (costing silly money).

Are the couplings available separately, and how difficult are they to change?
Has anyone here changed them, and did it cure the problem?

Have you had the rear wheels balanced.

Yes - had all 4 balanced twice - by different garages.
And fitted new tyres on the rears yesterday.
No difference

Hi Andy,
I have the same vibration issue with my 2008 3.0TDI Quattro. Did you have any success replacing just the centre bearing?
