I have been tinkering with my dad's A6 2.5 since the fuel injection pump tensioner became lose (see thread). Big thanks to ametlib for his help!

I put it back together and had to move the belt one tooth in order to get the timing back to the default TDC setting. Since I adjusted the FIP pulley / belt I still think that the engine is a tad noisy. I dont think that the cam belt slipped.

The TDI graph didnt seem to want to plot the figures (video here)so I was advised to run some logs on VCDS. So below is a list of the various codes.

Anyone able to cast their eyes over the values and see if any settings are of concern?

As above + the most interesting thing to read from this is in group 7 . We are freezing our arses off here in Norway and your IAT sensor reads 52 C !!!!!! Even if your very hot engine radiates a lot of heat to the inlet pipes ,especially at idle,
you must have far,far better weather than we do !!!!

    Thanks Crasher,

I took it to a specialist today that a friend of mine recommended. It was sounding awful. I suspect something mechanical isn't quite right.

Might be time to look for a replacement!

    Ametlib,

We don't often have great weather, don't be to jealous
