    Hi All,

I have a Q3 with black roof rails.

I would like to purchase the Whispbar roof bars or perhaps the Thule wing bars.

I am concerned that the Thule or Whispbar roof bars will mark the black roof rails.

Will the Audi ones also fit better as they will utilise the fitting holes on the rails?

Does anyone have any experience on the above?

    Cheers

I've got Whispbars on the Golf and they haven't marked the black roof bars. They're left on most of the time but they've been taken off/moved a couple of times.
I know the style of bars is different but the fitting seems to be essentially the same - rubber on the actual foot of the bar and a metal clamp (which is coated) on the other side of the bar.

My experience of Thule fitting kits/feet with several cars is that they will utilise the holes on the rails. Thule kit is top quality and has never left marks on any of my cars.

Hi, as EssexGonzo said the Thule roofbars are the best Quality and do utilise the factory stated points, they make thousands of fitting kits which are vehicle specific to make them the best fit.
You can use our easy search tool from our website http://www.pfjones.co.uk/roof-bars/thule-roof-bars.html which tells you what you need and how much they are with certain styles of bars.
    Thanks Adam

    Hi All,

    Thank you for your replies.

I went for Thule bars in the end. They fit great and seem well padded but I can't see how they utilise the factory fitting points.
